The Think Positive project is funded by the European Union under the Cypriot Civil Society in Action VII Grant Scheme and implemented by the Think Positive Initiative (TPI). It started on 22 October 2021 and will last for 20 months. The overall objective of this project is to improve the access of people living with HIV/AIDS to human rights. This overall objective focuses both on improving the rights of people living with HIV/AIDS and on shaping the public discourse to raise awareness and remove stigmas in the northern part of Cyprus.
Think Positive project will implement the following activities:
• Capacity building trainings for TPI members,
• Developing and implementing a strategic plan for communication and volunteering,
• Training on advocacy strategy,
• Advocacy meetings to stakeholders including relevant duty bearers,
• Networking with EU and International organisations,
• Survey to map the attitude of Turkish Cypriot Community towards people living with HIV/AIDS,
• Seminar on HIV/AIDS awareness,
• Publication and dissemination of informative HIV/AIDS leaflet,
• Informative billboards in multiple regions,
• Outreach campaign through social media platforms to increase awareness,
• Policy briefs including recommendations for legal texts, policy and implementation developed and presented to local bodies.
